Olympic champion Kevin Martin:

Lost his opening match at the BDO Canadian Open in Oshawa, Ont., on Wednesday night, falling 7-6 in extra ends to John Epping of Toronto.

Kevin Martin, of Edmonton, is aiming for his 17th Grand Slam of Curling title after winning the most recent event, the Swiss Chalet National in Vernon, B.C., last month.

John Epping is a former Canadian mixed champion who has played with Toronto's, Wayne Middaugh for the past two years, before making a team himself, to take a run at the Ontario championship this season.

"I don't know," she said. "What is the capital of Canada?"

"Is it........... Ottawa?" Margret replied.

"Correct!" yelled Mr. Oldcorn.

"The capital is Ottawa?" asked an American boy.

"Yes it is!" said Mr. O.

I bet you are wondering what is going on right now... right? Well, all the students in grade eight, all over the world are being united to answer questions about the places where they live. Marissa is the smartest in her eighth grade class. Candace is on the other end of the list; she is good at everything but history and stuff about the world.

"Meaghan... Meaghan... Are you listening to me?"

" Yes Yes I am, sorry."

"Where are polar bears found in Manitoba?" Mr. O asked.

"Uhhh ummm..... Churchhill?" she stuttered.

"Yoo CORRECT!!!" Mr. O bellered!

"Yess!!" Meaghan shreeked!

Turns out Marissa and Meaghan tied.They didn't have time to break the tie, so they shared the money!

Candace was off to her boyfriend Marc's house, and Marissa was off to her boyfriend Kyle's house so Meaghan went to read books to the elderly people at the Sherwood.

My Christmas Holiday

My Amazing Holiday!!

On Christmas day my family and I went to my Uncle Bill's house. That is my Dad's brother. Casey, Lyndsay and Corey were there. I brought my ps2 and we played a bunch of games. Lyndsay was sick, so it wasn't the best holiday for her!

Boxing Day we went to my Uncle Gary's house. Everyone on my Mom's side was there, so it was really crowded! My cousin's and I played hide and go seek in the basement. We also played upstairs! Then when Jamie and Dustin went back to Auntie Shela's, Jayden and I watched pyrites of the Caribbean. It was really fun!

The rest of the holidays I slept till 11:00 and rode my horses. I also had friends over, and just spent time with my family.

My New Years Resolution

2. Practice more basketball, All year round!
3. Wake up when my alarm rings by Jan 22 2011.
4. Do my chores with out my Mom nagging me to, by Jan 22 2011.
